We’re not going to let that happen, however, because we will make you an expert in reverse parking… provided that you act on these tips completely and follow every single step properly without any kind of slacking off.

Reverse Parking Steps:

Follow these reverse parking tips to master the procedure in no time. Do note that you would need several to perform several times before you completely master it.

1- Move 2 vehicles front: The first thing you need to do is find a suitable parking spot between two vehicles at a parking lot or some other place. Once you have done that, drive forward and cross about two vehicles while driving perpendicular to the vehicles parked.

2- Indicate: A really good practice is to indicate the place you are going to park your car into. Turn on the indicator of the side you are going to turn towards.

3- Turn the wheel: Once you have given the indicator, turn your wheel completely towards the side you are going to turn towards. Most of the time, you would be turning left to park. So, grab your wheel and turn it completely towards left. Do not move backward or forward, just stand your ground and turn the wheel for now.

4- Check the sides: Once you have turned the wheel, check your sides and the blind spots for any incoming car or bike. DO NOT move if there is any kind of traffic, even a single vehicle in view.

5- Reverse: Reverse your car slowly towards the spot and watch out that you do not hit your car’s sides anywhere. Keep on checking the sides while you reverse your car into the spot till you are almost parallel to the spot or cannot reverse any further.

6- Straighten up: Once you are parallel or almost parallel but can not enter the spot by reversing your car, you can drive forwards BUT only after checking your sides and removing the indicator. You can move ahead a bit to adjust the position of your car to be parallel or semi-parallel to the parking spot.

7- Park: With that done, you can simply check your sides and blind spots to reverse your car into the parking spot and park successfully. Ensure that you check your sides at all times to avoid unwanted scratches or dents.

With these seven basic steps, you can easily perform reverse car parking. You should try these steps out in real life so you get a better and hands-on experience on how to do this kind of thing.
